MEET THE STARTUPS
Aquarela VORTX is a Data Analytics platform for Big Data specialized in finding insights and predictions. It offers the following features: DISCOVERER – Discover hundreds of factors, which are the most relevant, and automatically presents which business scenarios intended to maximize or minimize regarding a given factor of interest, for example, sales. ORGANIZER – Automatically finds (from the data) which profiles, segments, personas, and their predominant characteristics. CLASSIFIER – For new data, predicts which scenario, persona, or profile are fit for the new enclosures, even with incomplete information, thus offering a reliable mechanism for prediction and prescription.
Ambievo develops, integrates, and applies innovative technologies for recovery of contaminated soils. With natural products produced by by-products of the orange juicechain associated with formulations, processes, and equipment, the company offers solutions for industrial degreasing, soil decontamination, and cleaning of storage tanks of oil and its derivatives – a global market equivalent to US$ 370 billion.
BemVendi is a co-branded app for direct sale (Avon, Mary Kay etc.), a 100 million market of consultants (75% women), which generates US$ 190 billion and grows 7% annually worldwide. 70% of consultants resell from various catalogs and are still organized in pen and paper, which reduces their profits from 20 to 30%. Thru BemVendi the consultants can organize customers, sales, deliveries, and inventory without needing internet, charge customers via payment slip and credit card, perform request for the brands, and know how much they profited at the end of the month.
BovControl offers mobile data collection for agribusiness, with a simple interface, allowing users to quickly learn to operate the system – validated by the company’s engagement metrics, which is high and is constantly growing. The system works offline, but synchronization with the cloud is automatic whenever an internet connection is available. A layer of Artificial Intelligence offers relevant insights to the producers, as well as analysis for the improvement of the decision-making process of the cattle breeders.
Chipus offers a platform that can significantly reduce the effort of integration to develop a chip preconfigured with quick customization level of the metallic layers masks. The solution reduces risk, costs, and time-to-market of the chip. This allows incoming new products to accelerate their development path, quickly reaching commercially viable solutions. The monetization model of Chipus is through Intellectual Property Licensing and Use of the Platform. Chipus was founded in 2008, operates in USA, Europe and Asia and in 2016 received investments from the Brazilian Fund Criatec II.
Conpass increases sales conversion rates for web systems with an interactive tour (user onboarding), allowing anyone to understand how a system works and get quick results with it. The interactive tour is configured and integrated in minutes, no programming required! Companies can increase their sales by 20%-50%, and reduce their support costs in 10% -30%.
2 Minds created the Thirty, a social network based on 30-day challenges. In the app, people create challenges and update the progress on a daily basis, through comments, photos, and videos. Currently, the app has users in 135 countries.
OneSkin Technologies promotes the development and validation of molecules with the potential to prevent and even reverse skin aging. The platform is based on the production of in vitro human skin, allowing the screening of products with real biological effect for different ethnicities and ages. The technology focuses on testing of anti-aging and skin repair products. OneSkinTech operates in the B2B model, has operations in the USA and was invested by SOS Ventures.
Portal Telemedicina is an online medical center for interactivity and collaboration between specialists in the area of health and population. With an unique differential, the software connects directly to medical equipment, putting on the internet devices that were offline and automatically sending exams to renowned experts issuing reports on specialties: Electrocardiogram, Electroencephalogram, Spirometry, Visual Acuity, MRI, X-RAY, and CT scan.
SciCrop offers an integrated platform of Smart Farming with Big Data Analytics that collects and analyzes real-time data such as: climate, degree-day, hydric balance, among others. These decision-making information allow producers to obtain better performance in productivity, cost optimization of inputs and implements, prediction and mitigation of impacts, continuous monitoring of crops and of indicators, and closer ties among those involved in the production chain.
Treinus is an affordable solution through web and app that promotes health and well being through the practice of physical activity with the accompaniment of a professional of physical education. The challenge is to connect those seeking a sports training program to a professional who: 1) prescribe customized training; 2) track the performance and evolution of the practitioner; and 3) stimulate the regularity and continuity of training.

ABOUT OUR PARTNERS
Start-Up Brasil is a national startup acceleration program, an initiative of the Brazilian Federal Government, created by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation. The program is managed by Softex, partnering with accelerators to support new technology-based companies. The program happens through year-long editions.
