We were very excited to host a Finnish Pitch Night – Highlighting Healthtech with our partner Tekes – the Finnish Funding Agency for Innovation. Tekes is part of the Team Finland Network, which offers innovation funding and services to Finnish companies and startups that want to expand internationally; at this particular event, they wanted to showcase and promote their top healthcare startups, and selected Silicon Valley Forum as a partner to plan and host a Finnish Pitch Night. The event is part of a wider initiative—on September 14th, 2016, Tekes and IBM Watson sent out a press release announcing their partnership, and plans to develop and improve the healthcare industry in Finland.
In close collaboration with Team Finland, Finnish Pitch Night was an action-packed, high-quality event with a packed house. Silicon Valley Forum secured a panel of judges with Silicon Valley VCs who actively invest in the healthtech industry to provide the pitching entrepreneurs with valuable and unique feedback.
