About ShaKeia

Navy veteran turned tech entrepreneur. Her position directly at the intersection of technology and government assisted her in founding GovLia, a business to government marketplace that simplifies procurement for small and diverse businesses to foster economic growth and community development.

ShaKeia was born in Saint Petersburg, Florida and is the oldest of six girls and one boy. She graduated with honors from Gibbs High School in 2011 and enlisted active duty in the United States Navy as an Aviation Ordnanceman.

After receiving an honorable discharge, ShaKeia worked as a compliance and contract specialist in the government contracting department of a pharmaceutical company. While working she participated in a local accelerator provided by Broward College and CareerSource Broward called Start Up Now. Start Up Now Accelerator allowed her to leverage her experience in both roles and led to her founding GovLia in 2017.
ShaKeia is passionate about creating opportunities for individuals and business owners to grow, overcome economic hardships, and surpass barriers to success using technology.
