Despite positive gains in the conversation around equality, the reality is still pretty grim: tech companies are still struggling to meet diversity initiatives, and the pay gap is stuck; California recently signed into law a requirement for public Boards to have at least one (yes, just one!) woman representative–proof-positive that high-level female representation is falling short.
